Terms of Service
Last Updated: January 25, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RocketDNS, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.
2. Service Usage & Restrictions
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You represent that you have the authority to bind the entity for which you are managing DNS services.
You specifically agree not to:
- Configure domains for which you do not have administrative authority.
- Use the Service to facilitate the distribution of malware, phishing, botnets, or illegal content.
- Attempt to attack, probe, or reverse-engineer the RocketDNS infrastructure.
3. Fair Use Policy
Your subscription is subject to the following resource limits to ensure fair allocation of infrastructure:
- Zone Counts: Strictly enforced based on your active Plan tier.
- Records per Zone: Limited to 500 records per zone on standard plans. Exceptions may be granted for Enterprise tiers.
- API Usage: High-frequency polling (more than 1 request per second) may result in temporary rate-limiting (HTTP 429).
We reserve the right to audit account usage. Accounts found violating these limits may be throttled or suspended after a warning notice.
4. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ROCKETDNS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL ROCKETDNS'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICES EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100.00 USD, OR (B) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO ROCKETDNS FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
5. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RocketDNS and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.
6. Dispute Resolution
For any dispute you have with RocketDNS, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. If RocketDNS has not been able to resolve your dispute, we each agree to resolve any claim, dispute, or controversy (excluding claims for injunctive or other equitable relief) arising out of or in connection with or relating to these Terms by binding arbitration.
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without respect to its conflict of laws principles.
